We will be upgrading our instance of Azure Redis Cache Server from version 4 to version 6. There will be a brief interruption of user connections lasting just a couple of minutes.

Users of the application web site will likely notice the interruption, and will have to log in again once the upgrade is complete. The component being upgraded holds user session in memory, so the upgrade will force-log-out all web site users.

We have already exercised this upgrade in our testing environments and it went smoothly.
